The on-site farm is a great introduction with cows, chickens, fruit and vegetable gardens and even a sustainable shrimp farm. Morgan’s Rock organic farming provides around 60% of ingredients used in sumptuous Nicaraguan dishes with the accent on fresh seafood and vegetarian cuisine created by head chef Dannys Moraga and served in the picturesque pool-side restaurant as well as rustic breakfast on the farm. All the family can participate in collecting eggs or milking the cows, learn how to make delicious homemade tortillas for breakfast or discover what’s involved in getting dairy products from farm to table. With endless activities on the farm as well as off-site, visiting the sustainable shrimp farm or deep-sea fishing for Mahi-Mahi, sailfish and tuna, it’s fun learning about the ocean to table concept at sea. There’s always something fascinating to do while at the same time minimising any impact of the human footprint!
