The river-pool temperatures range from 72 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Tabacón’s water has been blessed with the perfect combination of high volume and a medicinal mineral content and it’s worth noting that sulphur content is low, meaning the water is free of strong and undesirable odour.

The main sunbathing and swimming areas feature five pools, a swim-up bar, and thermal water slide. The swim up bar is a welcome feature where guests can enjoy refreshments while soaking in the revitalising waters. Shangri-La Gardens is a pampering private area exclusively for adults offering six natural thermal mineral spring pools set in a lush backdrop with a private bar and choice of cocoon or day beds for pure relaxation. During their stay, Tabacón guests receive complimentary and unlimited access to the thermal river and its pools. Even the spa treatments are given in the peace and tranquillity of the rainforest in open bungalows allowing guests to stay connected with nature.
