DAY 1
ARRIVAL IN HO CHI MINH CITY,
SAIGON AFTER DARK BY VESPA

Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival at Ho Chi Minh City airport, referred to locally as Saigon, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. This evening, you will set off on a culinary journey, local style. Experience Ho Chi Minh City on the back of a Vespa on a journey that is part night-time excursion, part street food adventure. This is the perfect way to see, smell, feel, taste and often touch Saigon at night. Cruise through the busy streets and alleys to see the city at night visiting places that only the locals know.

DAY 2
VIETNAMESE COOKING CLASS & SAIGON CITY TOUR

Let the cooking begin as you visit a local home to learn how true Saigonese live and cook. Start early at a busy suburban market with your host sharing their favorite dishes before you head back to the house to start cooking your lunch. In the afternoon, discover the city's landmarks including the Reunification Palace, which was the former headquarter of the Saigon government from 1954–1975, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office and City People’s Committee.

 
 

DAY 3
DAY TRIP TO THE MEKONG DELTA
VIETNAM'S ULTIMATE CRAFT BEER TRAIL EVENING TOUR

Set off on an overland transfer to My Tho (70km, 1.5hr drive). On arrival at My Tho, board a boat for a short cruise on the Mekong River. Disembark on an islet to visit orchards and farmers’ village. See how local delicacies are made and how life thrives along the Delta. Lunch on the islet or in town before the overland transfer to return to Ho Chi Minh City.

The evening is set for the ultimate tour for all craft beer lovers! Cruise around Saigon on the back of a Vespa sampling some of Vietnam’s most renowned craft beers. With a booming beer scene, Saigon offers the ultimate place for fans of craft beer to rejoice in an evening filled with a variety of brews paired with delectable bites. We hit four of the country’s top breweries.

DAY 4
HELLO HOI AN

Morning flight to Da Nang in central Vietnam then transfer to the ancient port town and UNESCO World Heritage town of Hoi An. Take a walking tour and explore the old town that sits on the banks of Thu Bon River. Visit Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Communal House, Tin Hau Temple and ancient houses. Dinner is served at a local restaurant to enjoy the flavors of central Vietnam.

 

DAY 5
HOI AN COOKING CLASS

Visit Hoi An’s colourful market and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy place. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and purchase some of the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson. After visiting the market we head back to the school for our hands-on cooking class. Explore the cooking school’s herb and vegetable garden before learning about some of Hoi An, and Vietnam’s most well-known dishes. With the guidance of our master chef, we will work together to craft traditional, local delicacies. After our efforts, we sit down to enjoy the fruits of our labor, together. After lunch, free, at leisure for a relaxation on the beach or browse for souvenirs in Hoi An's art galleries and silk shops. In the evening, stroll around Hoi An on your own to enjoy the beautiful lanterns that illuminate the laneways.

 

DAY 6
LOCAL VILLAGE LIFE & CYCLING

Tra Que is a charming little village on the edge of Hoi An. The village is named after the sweet-scented vegetables that spice up the everyday meals of the Pho Hoi people.

- Get hands-on and try farming in a local village
- Interaction with local host family

 

DAY 7
DANANG TO HANOI
HANOI AFTER DARK
EVENING TOUR

Today to you will transfer from Hoi An to Danang airport for your flight to the capital city of Vietnam, Hanoi. This evening, enjoy a truly authentic Hanoi style night out riding pillion on vintage Vespas, zipping along the capital’s iconic narrow streets and sampling the sensational street food scene. Stops are made to take in the vibrant evening food scene of Hanoi, eating and drinking amongst the locals, as well as to brief participants about local culture and traditions.

DAY 8
EXPERIENCE THE HIGHLIGHTS OF HANOI
TRADITIONAL WATER
PUPPET SHOW

After breakfast at your hotel, the morning tour starts with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where President Ho Chi Minh’s body lies in solemn rest (closed in the afternoon and months September and October). The sightseeing continues with a visit to Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Other attractions include the One Pillar Pagoda and Tran Quoc Pagoda. In the afternoon you are free to explore Hanoi. In they evening, sit back for some entertainment and enjoy a traditional water puppet show then dinner at a local restaurant.

 

DAY 9
OVERNIGHT IN HALONG BAY

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will go on a pleasant overland journey to Ha Long Bay (180km, 3.5hrs drive, including a short break half way). On arrival at Ha Long, embark and your cruise starts. Relax and enjoy. Seafood lunch and dinner on board.

 

DAY 10
HANOI, AT LEISURE

Early morning, complimentary tea and coffee are served on the sundeck followed by an optional Tai Chi class. Enjoy a wholesome breakfast as your boat weaves through strangely shaped limestone rock formations on the return to Ha Long City. After disembarking, return transfer to Hanoi where the rest of your day is at leisure.

 
 

DAY 11
DEPARTURE

Free, at leisure for last purchases or relax before your transfer to Hanoi airport for departure.
