DAY 1 – Embark at Kolkata
Embark at Kolkata. After lunch, explore the areas that were inhabited by the European settlers in the colonial era. Later, the ship arrives in Kalna.
DAY 2 – Kalna to Matiari
Start the day with a rickshaw ride through the streets of Kalna. Enjoy the enchanting Rajbari Temple Complex in Kalna. It houses Nabakailas Temple inspired by the architecture of mosques and Pratapeshwar Temple notable for its terra cotta plaques. After this, the ship sails to Matiari.
DAY 3 – Matiari to Murshidabad
Visit the village of Matiari. It is known for its work in brass and copper. The loud clunking of metal welcomes you upon arrival. You can buy some artefacts to take back home while strolling through the village. After this, the ship cruises toward Murshidabad.
DAY 4 – Murshidabad
The day begins with a horse ride to Katra Mosque, which was built by the city’s first Nawab, Murshid Quli Khan. Then visit Hazarduari Palace, built during the reign of Nawab Nazim Humayun Jah. It was built in the Greek Doric style and is replete with colonial era antiques, artwork and manuscripts.
DAY 5 – Murshidabad to Mayapur
The birthplace of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, an incarnation of Lord Krishna, Mayapur is the headquarters of International Society for Krishna Consciousness Temple. This massive temple was funded by Alfred B. Ford, the great grandson of car-maker, Henry Ford. After interacting with other devotees, walk through the pilgrim’s bazaar.
DAY 6 – Mayapur to Chandernagore to Kolkata
Inspect the famous French colony of Chandernagore in the morning. A trading post was set up here with the permission from Ibrahim Khan. After visiting the governor's residence and the other buildings in the promenade, we visit Sacred Heart Church. Upon returning, the ship sails for Kolkata.
DAY 7 – Kolkata
The day begins with a panoramic tour of Kolkata. Visit the city’s major landmarks such as Writer's Building, Governor's House, Reserve Bank of India and Dalhousie Square. Head to St. John's Church, Kolkata’s oldest Anglican Church, and Victoria Memorial Museum, which hosts India’s largest collection of British artefacts. Return to the ship to enjoy a cultural performance.
DAY 8 – Disembark at Kolkata
After breakfast, guests depart from the ship and leave for their next flight or depart to their onward destination.
